I had a horrible fear of spiders and I felt that it was time for me to over come that. Both Tim and Crystal took time to introduce me to spiders and scorpions and made me feel so much more confident. The turtles (now formally known as Slippery Pete and MissShell) made their cross country trip safe & sound. They are great specimens! I was very impressed. Within two hours of being placed in their enclosure, MissShell was spotted eating a one-winged cicada that unfortunately (for it) wound up on the wrong side of the wall. Slippery Pete made an enthusiastic exploration of his new digs and now seems to be quite happy partially burrowed under a pile of dry leaves.
